Midsummer travel peaks tomorrow in Finland

Outbound traffic in Finland will be at its busiest on Thursday, according to the Finnish Traffic Agency’s road traffic centre.

Increase in travel begins tonight, with southern Finland seeing heavier traffic after 11:00 on Thursday, peaking between 14:00 and 18:00. Northern Finland will remain busy into the late evening.

On the most congested routes, speeds may drop by 20–30 km/h. Traffic is expected to ease by Friday afternoon.
