A new government service centre has opened in Helsinki’s Pasila district, allowing residents to handle transactions with multiple agencies in a single visit, public broadcaster Yle reported Monday.

The Helsinki Suomi-piste (“Finland Point”) now offers in-person services from the National Land Survey, Tax Administration, Digital and Population Data Services Agency, Social Security Appeals Board, and Permit and Supervision Authority. The International House Helsinki (IHH), which assists foreign nationals relocating to the capital region, also operates at the site.

Authorities estimate the hub will serve around 3,000 clients weekly, according to a Ministry of Finance statement. The initiative targets those unable or unwilling to use digital services, consolidating public-sector customer service under one roof.

The Helsinki location is the eighth such centre nationwide, following openings in Turku, Joensuu, Lahti, Lappeenranta, Pori, Kouvola, and Jyväskylä. A ninth is set to launch in Rovaniemi later this year. The government aims to centralise all public administration customer service at these Suomi-piste hubs by 2030.
