Prosecutors have filed charges related to a homicide that occurred in the Kuivasjärvi area of Oulu. The main suspect, a man in his twenties, has been charged with manslaughter, while three other individuals face charges of aiding and abetting the crime. The prosecution office announced the news in a statement.

All four suspects have denied involvement in the crime. The trial is scheduled to commence on October 22 at the Oulu District Court.

The homicide was uncovered when a man in his twenties was brought to Oulu University Hospital in the early hours of June 1 after being shot. He succumbed to his injuries that night. Shortly after, all four suspects were arrested, but only one, the man charged with manslaughter, remains in custody.

Police have been tight-lipped regarding the circumstances surrounding the victim’s death. However, they have revealed they are looking for light blue bulletproof vests and a light brown Ford Transit van, which are believed to be connected to the case in some way. As of now, the bulletproof vests have not been found.

To aid in the investigation, police also conducted high-profile searches in the Hollihaane boat harbor area of Oulu in August, which involved divers.
