Helsinki police stopped a Halloween party at Kattilahalli, an event hall in Suvilahti, overnight into Sunday after organisers failed to ensure safety and order, Yle reports.
Police found heavily intoxicated and unconscious young people inside, and vomit covered the floors, said Ville Niskanen, a police commissioner overseeing operations. About 300 young people were queuing outside, many of them having waited for up to three hours.
Access in and out of the hall was badly blocked. An ambulance called to the scene also struggled to reach it because of the crowd, Niskanen said.
Ilta-Sanomat reported that tickets were sold through Kide App and that the event had an age limit of 17.
Niskanen described the night across the Helsinki metropolitan region as exceptionally busy, with police handling many calls, including assaults and disturbances.
