More than a million people in Sweden take antidepressants, and tens of thousands, possibly hundreds of thousands, may experience sexual side effects, according to a documentary from SVT.

The 10-minute news documentary follows Amanda, who has difficulty reaching orgasm, and Johan, who says he feels castrated. Both describe a loss of sex drive after starting antidepressant medication.

Sexual side effects have been known for a long time, but doctors do not always tell patients about them, the programme says. It also asks what happens when the problems continue after someone stops taking the medication.
