Police suspect four minors in city break-in

Four young people are suspected of breaking into a building in the city, and three are being held in custody, mbl.is reports.

Police received a report about the break-in yesterday evening or overnight and stopped the vehicle the suspects were travelling in. All four were under the legal age, and police contacted their parents.

The incident was among those recorded in the capital area police log for the period from 5 p.m. yesterday to 5 a.m. today.

Police at station 3, which serves Kópavogur and Breiðholt, also received a report of a person in a car giving money to children outside a school. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

Four drivers were stopped on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Police also received a report of a theft from a grocery store.
