Vørn charters Vestmenningur for military exercise

Vørn will take part in military exercises in Vestmannasund over the coming weeks using the pelagic vessel Vestmenningur, KVF reported. The agency is using the vessel because its two patrol ships, Brimil and Tjaldrið, are currently unavailable.

Vestmanna Municipality notified residents on Monday that activity at the port in Vestmanna would increase in connection with the Lion Protector 2026 military exercise.
