The vessel Ísborg has not yet received a fishing licence and must be repaired before it can begin operating, Kringvarp Føroya reports.
Ango, a shipping company based in Vágur, bought the vessel, previously named Margrét, from Iceland for 8.75 million euros, or 65.4 million kroner. The purchase was made just over a month ago.
Ísborg is 18 years old and was built in Norway. Once repairs are complete, the vessel will have cost Ango 75 million kroner.
