Rain breaks across Finland on Monday
Finland Rain will pause across Finland on Monday as a ridge of high pressure keeps most of the country dry, Yle reports.
The coldest weather of the weekend is moving away for now, with slightly warmer conditions expected at the start of the week.
Monday brings sunshine and dry weather
There may be isolated showers in southwestern Finland, while winds turn southwesterly and bring warmer air. Temperatures could reach 20 degrees Celsius in the southwest. Elsewhere, temperatures will range from just below 10 degrees in Lapland to above 15 degrees in the south.
Cloud cover will vary, but sunshine is expected across much of the country.
Rain returns in the evening
The high-pressure ridge will move eastwards towards the evening. A band of rain will reach western Lapland, and light showers may also occur in western Finland. Cloud cover will increase from the west as a low-pressure system approaches.
Tuesday will be rainy and windy
A broad area of low pressure will reach Finland on Tuesday, bringing unsettled and rainy weather. Much of the country will have a cloudy and rainy day.
Winds will strengthen across Finland and may be gusty, especially in the west. Temperatures will remain largely similar to Monday’s, while breaks in the cloud cover could again allow temperatures in the south to approach 20 degrees.
