Hikers prepared as Kebnekaise enters peak season

Peak hiking season is now underway on Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest mountain, reports SVT. While five teenagers required mountain rescue assistance on Tuesday, officials say the number of such incidents is not increasing.

SVT spoke with hikers and the Swedish Tourist Association (STF) at the site, where July and August mark the busiest period for ascents.
