Graffiti targets Reykjavik school with Verzló slogan

The sports hall at Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík was vandalised over the weekend, mbl.is reported, with the phrases “Viva Verzló” and “Fuck MR” spray-painted on the building.

The slogans suggest that a student or students from Verzlunarskóli Íslands, known as Verzló, may have been responsible, the report said.

Students from the two schools have clashed during the current school year. A football match between them in Seltjarnarnes in October was marred by serious fighting, and one person was hit in the head with a bottle. Events planned for the schools’ annual MR-VÍ week were postponed or cancelled afterwards.
