Medieval combat world championship draws record crowds
More than 17,000 visitors attended the Medieval Combat World Championship at Spøttrup Castle in North Jutland last week, exceeding the expectations of organisers, Museum Salling said in a statement.
“We had high hopes for this year’s event, but it’s hard not to feel both proud and impressed when we look back at how many people actually came,” said Tine Klitgaard Danielsen, team leader at Museum Salling.
Denmark won gold in the 16 vs. 16 buhurt final against Poland at the championship.
