The West Uusimaa wellbeing services county warns that fraudulent messages are being sent in its name, reports Yle.

The county has received multiple reports of scam messages sent via text, email, and possibly Suomi.fi notifications. Some messages falsely claim a service appointment has been booked or demand payment for a service. Others reference alleged child protection reports.

Authorities urge caution: do not open links, share personal details, or make requested payments. Scammers may attempt to obtain banking credentials or other sensitive information.

If a suspicious link has been opened or sensitive data shared, contact your bank immediately to block accounts and file a police report.

The county emphasizes that officials never request banking details or confidential information via text, WhatsApp, or email. It also does not handle client data through regular email.
