Sunshine in the north, showers elsewhere as weekend festivals face summer downpours

Northern Finland will see sunshine today, while central and southern regions experience unstable weather, according to Yle’s forecast.

Eastern areas will see more consistent rainfall, while the west faces scattered showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures range from around 15°C in wetter regions to just over 20°C in drier spots. In Lapland, skies will be mostly clear with temperatures hovering around 20°C or slightly below.

Toward the weekend, conditions turn more unsettled, with showers and thunderstorms likely across southern and central Finland. Festival-goers can expect intermittent summer rain, though not continuous downpours.
