Thunderstorms and rain expected by weekend as Wednesday stays dry
Most of Finland will see clear skies on Wednesday, according to a forecast by Yle.
Scattered showers are expected to develop in the western parts of the country by afternoon and evening, with possible showers also in northern Lapland. Southern Finland will still experience heat, with temperatures ranging from 21 to 25 degrees Celsius. In the north, daytime temperatures will be between 11 and 20 degrees.
The weekend weather will be unstable. Rain is expected to spread from the southeast to the southern and eastern parts of the country by Thursday, while strong thunderstorms may form in the west. Heavy rain is possible in parts of southern and central Finland, while Lapland will remain mostly clear.
