Wednesday to be Finland’s sunniest day of the week, heatwave possible in the south
Wednesday will be the sunniest day of the week across Finland, with largely clear skies and summer temperatures, according to a forecast by national broadcaster Yle.
While isolated showers may develop in northern Lapland and parts of the west by afternoon, most of the country will stay dry and warm. In the south, temperatures could even reach heatwave levels.
Conditions will turn cooler and more unsettled on Thursday as rain showers spread from the south to much of the country. Lapland is expected to remain the driest region. Temperatures will generally hover around 20°C, with the rain potentially lowering them further. Minor thunderstorms are also possible.
