Southern Finland sees heatwave as north braces for showers
Temperatures in southern Finland will climb above 25°C on Tuesday, meeting the official heatwave threshold, according to a forecast by Yle. Central regions will hover around 20°C, while the north expects 15–20°C, with northern Lapland staying below 15°C.
A weather front will shift eastward during the day, allowing drier air to move in from the west. Southern and central Finland will see clear, often sunny skies, though scattered showers may linger near the eastern border. Northern Finland remains largely overcast with patchy rain showers persisting into the afternoon.
Conditions will clear across the north by evening. Strong gusts are expected in Lapland, with northwesterly winds at times forceful.
