Heatwave hits eastern Norway

Eastern Norway is set for a stretch of hot weather this week, with temperatures potentially reaching 25°C by Sunday, according to meteorologist Sigrid Marie Vildskog Auganæs of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute, as reported by Dagbladet.

Southern Norway will see consistent summer temperatures, with several days above 20°C, though light rain is expected from Wednesday evening through Thursday. Uncertainty remains for the weekend, but temperatures are likely to stay between 15–22°C.

Western Norway starts the week with clear skies, but rain and clouds will arrive Wednesday, lasting through Thursday and into the weekend. Bergen expects around 18°C on Tuesday, dropping slightly to 16–17°C later in the week.

Northern Norway begins with patchy rain, particularly in Nordland, Troms, and Finnmark, clearing gradually. Tromsø may reach 16°C on Tuesday, while Bodø starts at 13°C, rising to 16°C by the weekend. Rain moving through southern and western regions will reach Trøndelag and Nordland by Friday, then Troms and Finnmark by Sunday.

Oslo, Akershus, Vestfold, and Telemark are expected to be the warmest areas, with Oslo potentially hitting 25°C. Temperatures may dip slightly early next week but remain above 20°C as July approaches.
