Seven charged over deadly Hong Kong high-rise fire
Seven individuals and two companies have been charged in connection with a November fire in a Hong Kong apartment complex that killed 168 people, SVT reports.
The 25 charges include murder, fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, and tax evasion, according to a statement from authorities.
The blaze tore through seven of the eight high-rise buildings in the Wang Fuk Court complex. A major renovation was underway at the time, and flames spread rapidly along bamboo scaffolding.
