Finland records warmest spring on record across nearly entire country
This year’s spring was the warmest since records began across almost all of Finland, according to the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
Average temperatures from March through May exceeded the long-term baseline (1991–2020) by 2–4°C in most regions. In Helsinki’s Kaisaniemi district, the seasonal mean reached 6.9°C.
The institute’s data confirms the persistent above-average warmth, with deviations most pronounced in the south and central areas.
