Princess Isabella to begin 11-month military service after graduation
Princess Isabella of Denmark will start an 11-month mandatory military service at the Guard Hussar Regiment in Slagelse this August, following her graduation from Øregård Gymnasium high school, reports Danish broadcaster DR.
The princess, second in line to the Danish throne, will be among the first to complete the extended conscription period. Her service follows in the footsteps of her brother, Crown Prince Christian, and her father, King Frederik, both of whom have served in the Danish Defence.
