Storm Bert hits Sweden with severe weather warnings and power outages

Severe weather, including strong winds, rain, and heavy snow, has hit the United Kingdom, leaving tens of thousands without power and resulting in multiple traffic-related fatalities. The adverse conditions have raised significant concerns across various regions.

Meteorologist Josefine Qvarnesjö-Bergstedt reported that the storm system, named Bert, began impacting Sweden overnight on Sunday. By 8 a.m. on Sunday, weather authorities had issued 22 weather warnings for both the eastern and western coasts, as well as areas near the Norwegian border.
