On Monday morning, there were still approximately 1,000 households without electricity in Satakunta, following the storm that struck on Friday. In Eurajoki, nearly 700 customers were without power before 6 AM, while over 300 were affected in Rauma. Eura had 25 customers still in the dark. The storm, which arrived on the southwestern coast on Friday evening, caused extensive damage by knocking down power poles and trees onto electrical lines.

Over the weekend, emergency services handled nearly 500 incident response tasks related to the storm, according to duty officer Jussi Jalonen from the Satakunta rescue services. “Both permanent staff and volunteer firefighters worked tirelessly to manage these incidents,” he stated. Most tasks concentrated around the areas of Eurajoki, Luvia, and Rauma, primarily involving downed trees and damaged roofing structures. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

The winds during the storm reached historically severe levels in the marine areas of western Finland. In Kylmäpihlaja, Rauma, wind speeds peaked at 33.5 meters per second on Friday evening, while Tahkoluoto in Pori recorded speeds of 30.3 meters per second.
