OP Group reports operating profit increase to €720 million in Finland

The OP Group’s operating profit for the period of July to September rose to €720 million, up from €584 million in the same period last year. However, net interest income decreased by 1.6%, amounting to €712 million, attributed to the development of market interest rates that impacted interest income.

CEO Timo Ritakallio stated that the group’s operating profit showed excellent progress in the third quarter. He noted that the recovery initiated in Finland’s economy at the beginning of the year appears to be continuing through the end of the year, particularly due to better-than-expected performance in domestic markets.
