Finnish President Alexander Stubb and his spouse, Suzanne Innes-Stubb, are currently visiting Germany as part of their multi-country tour in their first year of engagement. Suzanne Innes-Stubb, an accomplished lawyer and employee at Aalto University, also serves as a UNICEF ambassador in Finland and an honorary chair of Save the Children.

The power transition occurred on March 1, 2024, as former President Sauli Niinistö and Dr. Jenni Haukio stepped aside to return to civilian life. Stubb has taken over presidential responsibilities with the support of his stylish wife. Innes-Stubb’s fashion choices have gained attention as she favors Finnish high-end design.

At the beginning of March, she impressed attendees at the presidential inauguration in a classic black sheath dress paired with high-heeled pumps. At their first diplomatic dinner, she transitioned to a colorful celebratory gown. Their inaugural official visit was to Sweden, where she captivated onlookers in a white dress designed by Katri Niskanen.

Later in May, during a state visit to Estonia, Innes-Stubb opted for a practical pantsuit from the Swedish-favored brand Andiata. In July, she showcased a refined jacket dress in Kyiv during a conference focusing on child safety in conflict zones, asserting her support for Ukraine. During a visit to Norway, she honored designer Vuokko Nurmesniemi by wearing one of her exquisite designs.

Jani Niipola, the managing director of Fashion Finland, recently remarked that during state visits, representatives of the French often don the finest French couture, leaving nothing to chance. This trend echoes in Innes-Stubb’s elegant selections during formal occasions in Oslo, underscoring the importance of style in diplomacy.
