Arnar Þór Jónsson announces new Democracy Party focused on self-determination rights in Iceland

Arnar Þór Jónsson, a Supreme Court attorney and presidential candidate, has announced the establishment of a new political association named the Democracy Party, which focuses on self-determination rights. In a statement, he highlighted that the organization aims to promote democracy, freedom, and the right to self-determination.

Arnar, who was a presidential candidate in the recent elections, remarked on the necessity for political renewal in the Icelandic Parliament, Althing. He stated that many have encouraged him to form a political party as a means to steer the society towards improvement.

Earlier this week, he mentioned that his discussions with the Center Party had not yielded any results and indicated that there were no other parties currently in his sights for collaboration.
