A low-pressure system is approaching from the northeast, bringing with it northwesterly winds and the likelihood of rain or sleet in the northeastern regions. Snow is expected in the mountains later in the afternoon. Travelers should prepare for winter road conditions, particularly on the Mývatn and Möðrudalsöræfi plateaus, as well as on Fjarðarheiði, Öxi, and possibly Fagradal.

During the day, temperatures will remain relatively cool, with generally clear skies observed in the south and west, and daytime highs ranging from 5 to 10 degrees Celsius.

Tomorrow, winds and precipitation will gradually diminish, with a northern breeze anticipated in the afternoon accompanied by some light snow in northern areas, contrasted by partly cloudy skies to the south. Temperatures will continue to drop slightly by tomorrow evening.
