Traffic accident leaves electric scooter rider injured in Riihimäki

On Tuesday afternoon, a traffic accident occurred in Riihimäki involving a car and an electric scooter rider. The driver of the car was turning left at the intersection of Koivukatu and Lopenkatu when the scooter rider was crossing the street. As a result of the collision, the rider fell and rolled over the car’s bonnet, landing on the ground.

The Hämeen police reported that they currently do not have information regarding the extent of the rider’s injuries. After the accident, the driver approached the fallen rider, but according to police, left the scene before authorities arrived at the intersection. The police are investigating the incident for potential endangerment of traffic safety.
