Apotti, the patient information system used by Helsinki, HUS and the Vantaa and Kerava wellbeing services county, will lay off up to 65 employees after change negotiations ended on Monday, Yle reports.

The negotiations and planned staff reductions covered the entire workforce, apart from certain roles that were excluded. Around 300 employees will see significant changes to their duties. Apotti will also require staff to work on site at least two days a week.

Chief executive Iina Vartia said the changes aim to help the company better meet customer needs and develop its operations over the long term. In the coming years, Apotti plans to focus on improving its services and customer experience, as well as increasing user satisfaction and cost efficiency.

A consulting report commissioned by Apotti’s shareholders and completed in September recommended keeping the system and improving operational efficiency.
