Yle has obtained incendiary instructions shared by a Finnish neo-Nazi with rioters in Great Britain. Last week, it was reported that a young man from southern Finland acted as an administrator of a Telegram group that organized the riots in the UK. In this role, he provided guidance to the rioters from Finland, including tips on protecting their identities and a guide to committing arson.

The document contains advice on target selection, stating, “Burn cars belonging to antifascists, Muslims, and Jews.” However, it is important to note that this document was not created by the Finnish man; it was signed by the Russian neo-Nazi group NS/WP Crew, which has previously claimed to have carried out arson attacks. Yle could not confirm who authored the guidelines.

The Finnish man shared the instructions in a now-closed Telegram group. The document was acquired by Yle through two independent sources who downloaded it from the same group. The three-page file provides step-by-step details on planning, executing, and post-attack actions for arson, emphasizing the importance of documenting the acts for propaganda purposes to indicate they were committed by National Socialists.

In light of recent riots in Britain, particularly following the stabbing deaths of three girls in Southport, experts suggest that both the rioters and inciters on social media may face criminal prosecution. A law professor in Finland indicated that the Finnish man’s activities could also lead to investigations, both in the UK and Finland. While he has no current serious charges, he was previously suspected of making illegal threats online in 2021. The 20-something man holds Finnish citizenship and has mentioned African ancestry on one side of his family, though this information remains unverified by official sources.
