Danfoss begins change negotiations affecting upper management across subsidiaries in Finland
Danish engineering company Danfoss has initiated change negotiations concerning its upper management across its Finnish subsidiaries, which include Danfoss Drives Oy, Danfoss Editron Oy, Oy Danfoss AB, and Danfoss Power Solutions Oy. These negotiations are expected to last for a minimum of four weeks and might result in the termination of current positions for up to 60 upper management employees. Additionally, Danfoss is considering implementing 90-day layoffs for some upper management staff. The negotiations will affect over 800 upper management employees as the company aims to streamline its organizational structure and enhance both efficiency and competitiveness.
In conjunction with these negotiations, similar discussions are taking place at Danfoss’s facilities in Vaasa and Lappeenranta, where factory workers could face layoffs of up to 90 days due to low order volumes this autumn. Earlier this year, Danfoss expanded its product range by acquiring a product developed by Ampner in Vaasa. Additionally, one year ago, Danfoss Editron announced plans to expand its operations in Lappeenranta.
