More Finnish children receiving mental health services according to University of Eastern Finland report
More Finnish children are receiving mental health services today, according to a report from the University of Eastern Finland. Surveys on school health indicate a rise in mental health visits among children.
Among the most common mental health disorders for children under 10 are various anxiety and behavioral issues. A Finnish media outlet is seeking to interview young individuals who have experienced anxiety during their childhood. Those interested can share their experiences through an online form.
The form prompts individuals to reflect on their childhood feelings of anxiety, the forms of support they received in managing that anxiety, and asks for their name (which will not be published without consent), age, and place of residence. It also inquires if they are willing to discuss their situation further in an interview.
Finally, participants are encouraged to leave their contact information, even if they might not be interviewed, assuring them that their responses will not be quoted without prior direct communication.
