Vör, a cruise passenger terminal at Reykjavik Harbour, has been named Europe’s Best Cruise Terminal 2026 at the World Cruise Awards, mbl.is reports, citing a statement from Faxaflói Harbours. It is the first Icelandic port or passenger terminal to receive the award.
Reykjavik Harbour was one of 14 European nominees. Its competitors included ports in Barcelona, Civitavecchia near Rome, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Limassol, Málaga, Kiel, Monaco, Oslo, Rostock-Warnemünde, Portsmouth, Valletta and Zadar.
The award comes in Vör’s first year of operation. The terminal officially opened at the end of May, and the results were announced overnight at a World Cruise Awards ceremony near Montego Bay, Jamaica.
