Five involved in collision in Garðabær

Firefighters responded to three separate incidents during the evening, including a traffic collision in Garðabær, mbl.is reports.

The collision occurred on Elliðavatnsvegur and involved five people in two vehicles. One person suffered minor injuries, while that person and two others were taken to an emergency department for examination.

The Capital Area Fire and Rescue Service also responded to a guesthouse in Hamraborg after a fire alarm was activated. The smell was later determined to have come from cooking, according to duty officer Sigurjón Hendriksson.

The third callout involved a water leak and had just concluded. There had also been a considerable number of ambulance transfers during the evening.
