The Telecommunications Authority will launch a cybersecurity exercise for businesses in the Faroe Islands in October, KVF reports.
The project, called “Føroyar verja”, will help companies prepare for cyberattacks. It is the first time the Faroe Islands will take part in the “Hele Danmark Øver” exercise programme alongside Denmark and Greenland.
“Anyone can be affected by a cyberattack, so the exercise is intended for both large and small companies and businesses,” said Bárður Christiansen, an IT specialist at the Telecommunications Authority.
If interest is strong, further exercises may be held in several locations across the Faroe Islands.
More information about the joint exercise will be published later on the Telecommunications Authority’s website.
