Danish man shot dead in Nørrebro, Copenhagen; woman injured in ongoing conflict investigation

A 43-year-old Danish man was shot dead this afternoon in Nørrebro, Copenhagen. A 42-year-old Danish woman was also injured; she has been transported to the hospital and is reported to be out of danger, according to Lasse Michelsen, the deputy police inspector at Copenhagen Police.

Michelsen indicated that authorities cannot rule out a connection between the incident and an ongoing conflict involving Swedish nationals. The police received reports of gunfire on Hans Tavsens Gade in Nørrebro at around 5:15 PM. Since then, law enforcement has maintained a significant presence in the area.

The police are currently working to obtain descriptions of the suspected assailants. Further updates are expected.
