Southwestern Finland could see hot weather this weekend

Southwestern Finland could reach hot-weather temperatures on Saturday, while rain is possible across almost the entire country on Sunday, Yle reports.

Friday will be mostly dry. Light rain will spread east from the west to Lapland and central Finland during the day, with some showers possibly reaching the south in the evening. Temperatures will rise above 20 degrees Celsius in southwestern Finland, while other parts of the country will be cooler.

Saturday will bring changeable weather. Southern and central Finland will be mostly dry, but some areas may see rain showers and thunderstorms. Southwestern Finland could cross the hot-weather threshold, while temperatures in Lapland may remain below 15 degrees.

Sunday is expected to be unsettled, with rain possible across almost the entire country and thunderstorms also possible. Southwestern Finland will remain the warmest part of the country at above 20 degrees, while temperatures elsewhere may rise to around 20 degrees.
