Norway has run out of large outdoor screens for public viewings of its World Cup quarter-final against England, forcing organisers to look abroad, according to a report by Danish broadcaster DR.
Mikkel Rodkjær, director of Danish supplier Profox in Svenstrup, confirmed the shortage is severe but said his company cannot meet the demand. While equipment is available, he explained, the match falls during the summer holiday, making it impossible to assemble the necessary staff for delivery and setup.
“When you have to bring a big screen from Denmark or Sweden, it naturally comes with extra costs,” Rodkjær said. “We simply cannot provide the personnel.”
The match between Norway and England kicks off at 23:00 on Saturday. Fans without access to a public screen can watch on TV2 or listen on P4 radio.
