Denmark to form expert commission on well-being economics

The Danish government will establish an expert commission on well-being economics, according to its recently published policy platform.

The commission will propose a Danish model to better incorporate well-being, social cohesion, health, democracy, climate, and nature into economic policy discussions.

Jette Bredahl Jacobsen, a researcher and environmental economist, says there is good reason to separate GDP from well-being.
