Man arrested after suspected assault at Kalasatama metro station

Police in Helsinki detained a man on Sunday evening following a suspected assault at Kalasatama metro station, state broadcaster Yle reports.

Authorities received a report shortly before 8 p.m. of a man allegedly using violence against a woman accompanying him. Officers located the individuals matching the description and apprehended the suspect.

No threat to bystanders was reported. Charges may be adjusted as the investigation proceeds.
