Charges filed in massive child sexual abuse case involving at least 361 victims

Prosecutors have filed charges in a large-scale sexual abuse investigation led by Central Finland Police, involving 361 victims aged 9 to 15, Yle reports.
The primary offenses include aggravated sexual exploitation of a child, sexual exploitation of a child, and aggravated distribution of sexually explicit images of minors. The crimes are alleged to have occurred via the Snapchat messaging app between 2019 and 2022.
The suspect partially admitted to the conduct during pretrial questioning. The main trial will begin in Pirkanmaa District Court in early September.
