Authorities deploy massive police presence at Lohals harbor in Langeland

Authorities are heavily deployed at the harbor in Lohals on Langeland, and a “minor evacuation” has taken place in the area. Lærke Amalie Gottschalk, who operates Restaurant Marina in the vicinity, reports seeing many heavily armed officers. She noted that the harbor is completely cordoned off, with 10 to 12 police vehicles present, an ambulance on-site, drones flying overhead, a police rubber boat in operation, and a helicopter that just arrived.

According to authorities, their presence is described as “massive” and is linked to an ongoing “police operation.” Gottschalk mentioned that several people were awakened during the evacuation and are currently being questioned. She observed individuals sitting on benches being interviewed and required to provide their information, suggesting that the situation might feel overwhelming for those who were abruptly roused.
