Snowfall expected in southern Sweden with travel warnings issued for Uppland and Gävleborg

Parts of southern Sweden are currently experiencing winter weather conditions. On Wednesday evening, northern Uppland and Gävleborg could see snowfall accumulating to nearly half a meter. Traffic officials advise caution regarding unnecessary travel during this time.

The snowy and icy conditions contributed to several accidents on Wednesday morning. Multiple trucks became stranded on the E4 highway north of Hudiksvall, while a passenger vehicle was overturned near Timrå. Additionally, a truck ended up in a ditch on the E6 highway outside Uddevalla during the morning hours.

Travelers are encouraged to assess whether their journeys are essential in light of the challenging weather.
