Tragic accident claims life of local boy in Miehikkälä, Finland

A tragic accident occurred last Friday in Miehikkälä, resulting in the death of a local boy under the age of 18, according to the Southeast Finland police. The case is currently being investigated as a severe violation of traffic safety, as stated by Chief Inspector Jarmo Rahkola, who led the investigation over the weekend.

The collision involved a moped and a passenger vehicle, taking place in the intersection of Multasillantie and Kirkkotie on Friday afternoon. Only the driver was present in the car at the time of the incident.

Rahkola indicated that the investigation is still in its early stages. For instance, the moped has not yet undergone a thorough examination, leaving uncertainties regarding any structural modifications or enhancements that may have been made to it. There is currently no suspicion that substances played a role in the accident.
