A recent poll conducted by Prósent reveals that the Samfylking party maintains the highest support among voters, recorded at just over 22 percent, although this is a decline from nearly 25 percent in the previous poll on October 16. The Viðreisn party follows closely with 18.5 percent, having increased from around 14 percent since early October.

The survey, conducted between October 25 and 31, included 2,400 participants, with a response rate of 50 percent as 1,195 valid responses were recorded. Meanwhile, the Left-Green Movement continues to see a decrease, currently at 2.6 percent. The Progressive Party shows a marginal increase, standing at 5.8 percent, while the People’s Party remains steady at around 11 percent. The Independence Party and the Midflokkur are both reported at just over 14 percent.

Other parties like the Pirates and Socialists trail just below five percent in this poll. The survey suggests a shifting political landscape as Iceland approaches the 2024 parliamentary elections, with ongoing changes in voter sentiment.

This polling data provides valuable insight into the evolving dynamics within Iceland’s political arena as parties prepare for the upcoming elections.
