Negotiations stalled as external intervention sought by Per Martin Gregersen in Norway

Per Martin Gregersen, chairman of the Local Government Employers Association, stated that it is time for an external party to intervene in the stalled negotiations regarding the contentious proposals.

Negotiations between the Union of Employees, the Local Government Employers Association, and the Ministry of Finance for a new contract have broken down.

The parties initially presented their demands on October 8, and since then, six negotiation meetings have taken place.

According to Gregersen, the issues dividing the parties are fundamental disagreements.
