The Landsréttur court has upheld a seven-year prison sentence for Theodór Páll Theodórsson due to serious sexual offenses. His original conviction by the Reykjavík District Court included multiple charges, such as gross sexual acts against two minors, purchasing sexual services, and possession of child pornography.

In reaching its decision, Landsréttur reiterated the severity of Theodór’s crimes, particularly against underage girls. The court noted that the offenses posed significant psychological harm to the victims, as corroborated by their testimonies and psychological evaluations presented during the trial.

Theodór, a 30-year-old chef, initially met the girls through the Snapchat application. He later picked them up in his car, where he sexually assaulted them. Reports indicate he compensated the girls for sexual acts with money and alcohol.

In addition to the sexual assault charges, Theodór was also convicted for related offenses, including the possession of a total of 763 images and 98 videos depicting child sexual exploitation.

The hearings for the case were closed to the public, and a full judgment from the Landsréttur is expected to be published later today. A representative for the victims’ rights confirmed that the court’s ruling had been upheld.
