After months of temporary arrangements and interim coaches, the Danish Football Union (DBU) has officially appointed Brian Riemer as Denmark’s next national football team manager. Riemer has signed a contract that extends through the 2026 World Cup.

The 46-year-old coach recently led Belgian club RSC Anderlecht but was dismissed in September. Prior to that, Riemer served as an assistant coach at Danish club FC Copenhagen before moving to London, where he enjoyed significant success as an assistant under Thomas Frank at Premier League club Brentford.

Riemer spent one year and nine months as the head coach of Anderlecht, guiding the team to the quarter-finals of the Conference League during his tenure.

He takes over the national team following a series of four matches managed by Lars Knudsen, who filled in as interim coach during the Nations League group stage.

The DBU will hold an official press conference at 12:30 PM, where Riemer will be present to answer questions from the media. This event will be available for live viewing on dr.dk.
