Meteorologists Escobar Løvdahl, Kristian Gislefoss, and Charalampos Sarchosidis have shared their favourite places for summer holidays. Løvdahl spends his summer in Gjeving, Tvedestrand, which holds many childhood memories for him. Gislefoss prefers his cabin in Setesdal for both winter and summer holidays, whilst Sarchosidis enjoys spending time in Oslo and Arendal, as well as going on mountain hikes in Norway. All three meteorologists value memories and traditions more than the weather when choosing their holiday destinations.

They predict an unstable summer weather in Southern Norway, but Northern Norway can expect sunshine next week. According to Løvdahl, the coastal strip from Kristiansand up to Tønsberg, as well as south along the Oslo Fjord, has the best summer weather in Norway.

Løvdahl, who lived in his father’s homeland of Spain until he was 11, spent his adolescence in Gjeving, Tvedestrand. The delightful weather in this area is one of the reasons he enjoys it so much. Gislefoss, another familiar face from the weather forecasts, also chooses to follow his own tradition of cabin holidays in the Norwegian countryside. He likes to spend time at his cabin at the top of Setesdal in both winter and summer, where he enjoys various outdoor activities.

Gislefoss also enjoys visiting Ørnes near Glomfjord in Nordland. He notes that the weather in Northern Norway has been winning in the summer over the past few years, but this will likely vary from year to year.

Sarchosidis, who grew up in Greece, also chooses to stay in Norway during the summer. He doesn’t like excessive heat, and prefers to stay in Oslo and Arendal where he has lived and has family. He is also fond of the Norwegian mountains and enjoys camping in a tent.

All three meteorologists believe that an unstable weather pattern will continue in Southern Norway. Some days will be nice, but showers are never far away. Northern Norway will have some sun next week, but it looks like it will become more unstable there as well.
