AGF introduces new “Youth Zone” for young fans at Ceres Park in Aarhus
Chants and songs are a staple of attending football matches, and super league club AGF is no exception. The atmosphere is particularly lively in the designated fan section at Ceres Park, where dedicated AGF supporters gather. However, children and youths under 15 are not permitted in this area.
In response, AGF is creating a new section specifically for 10 to 14-year-olds, allowing them to join the chorus of fan voices without their parents nearby. This area, called the “Youth Zone,” will be open during selected home games. According to AGF’s fan engagement manager, Jonas Labich, the zone aims to provide a safe and fun environment for younger fans who wish to cheer and sing like the dedicated AGF supporters but are too young to access the standard fan section, which has a 15-year age limit.
“We believe it’s a great idea to establish new opportunities for young people to attend matches in a safe and secure manner while fostering a community where they can connect with one another,” Labich stated.
The “Youth Zone” will be located in Ceres Park’s family area, close to the fan section known for its energetic chanting. AGF staff and security will supervise the youths during matches, ensuring their safety. Parents can feel reassured sending their children into the Youth Zone, according to Labich.
“If parents find it concerning for their children to attend the stadium alone, we encourage them to sit in the family section, where they can keep an eye on their kids throughout the game,” he added.
The dedicated youth stand will open for the first time on October 21, when AGF faces Brøndby.
